So I haven't left the country, just the county. Haven't been anywhere I don't usually go. Everything is normal. I get a warning symbol in the notification tray that is a Roaming Network Notification. Clicking on it takes me to "Allow Data Access?"...accessing data during trips outside of the US may result in significantly higher charges. Do you want to allow data access? So far I've just chosen to cancel. Called Verizon. She said to allow Global Data Roaming Access. I currently don't have it checked. Doesn't it use more battery life? Is there some reason I shouldn't have it checked. Should I check it? I don't know why I've gotten this warning out of the blue.
Thanks

that is just a notification to you in case you are outside the boundary of the USA.

Tell it okay and forget it.... Otherwise, you won't have a phone in Roaming Areas.

All USA carriers have free roaming.
