If I manage to unlock it, I will provide the solution free of charge.
It is not nice to take money from fellow Android users.

Alternatively, if I'm forced to accept the money, I'll donate the
entire sum to the local ASPCA.

If this phone can't be rooted yet because no one has "unlocked" it, why do so many assume or want to know if one's phone is rooted?

Yeah I'm keeping this on the front page until someone answers it. If there are rooted S5 phones out there then what does it mean that this phone hasn't been unlocked yet so that it can be rooted? I'm sure it's a no brainer to some of you
but I lost my self labeled geek certification a couple years ago 😜

LOL..yeah I'm not sure I understand either....dozens of S5 owners are always asking is your phone rooted? And I could have sworn I have read here that people HAVE rooted their S5.

The money is to unlock the ATT and Verizon variants of the S5. The others have been rooted as theit bootloader was already unlocked.
