I must be one of the few people who can kill their phone during a work day. Yesterday I took it off the charger at 6:45am. Left work at 4pm and I was at 31%.

I leave the house at 100 (8 am)... By 1 PM it's at probably 20-30 percent... Then dead around 3-4 PM... I leave work at 6.

That's why I have a spare battery / charger at work... Once it dies.. Swap.. At 100% which will last the rest of work and for when I'm home :).

I'm very frugal with battery use.

I manually turn off wifi, data, sync, bluetooth when not using the phone.
I coast through 4 full days of battery life..... normally all I do is a few phone calls, text messaging, check the gps map once in a while to get my location (I work in the boonies in unfamiliar Territory)

Today though was different.... it rained and it rained some more.
Got thoroughly bored sitting in the work truck waiting for the rain to quit.

So, I turned on DATA and started surfing the net, forums, newspapers, and a lot of gps mapping locations and turning in reports on that stuff.

Battery was 100% yesterday morning at 0500, today it is 50% right now at the end of day 2.

With 50%, and my normal habits, I will still get another 2 days use...

That's with 2 hours screen time.

I've frequently gone with 6-8 hours screen time and two solid days without charging. And I use the heck out of the phone.

Got a really stripped down rom loaded, and I'm on Wifi almost the whole day generally.

He might not have...

I get 3 to 4 days use all the time between charges.

Once just to see how long I could stretch it, I got 5 full days with light use, some Google Map use, some TapaTalk time, reading local newspapers, email, a few phone calls each day, and quite a bit of texting.

I have my phone's data, wifi, sync and bluetooth turn off when the screen is off and locked.

Now, with the phone "common place" old hat and not caring about battery use, it will go longer than 2 full days easily.

Since I installed the Qi charger battery use don't matter much anymore. Going to bed? Lay it on the Qi pad.

For anyone wanting to see what can be done to further improve battery life: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...how-tos/298919-guide-battery-saving-tips.html

Aside from disabling bluetooth, wifi, gps, etc. when not in use, doing little things like setting screen brightness to a set percentage rather than Auto will further extend battery life. I'll generally set mine to under 50% when I know the battery must last or get me through a certain period of the day. You are the one using the device and know it best, so adjust accordingly to save battery.

The usual, wifi was on all day but wasn't connected the entire time. This phone makes me so happy coming from a galaxy nexus. Which could only last for me around 3 hours screen time on 3g, even when rooted, and battery saving kernel flashed :(
