Default event reminder?

When I create an event in the calendar, I would like to have it set to remind me 1 hour before the event all the time, rather than having to manually do it evertime.

Is there any way to do this?

Are you using Google Calendar or the Samsung calendar app? If you're using Google Calendar, you can set the default by going to the website, going to a specific calendar's Calendar Settings, then Reminders and Notifications. I've seen other posts on these forums about how it doesn't seem possible to set a default in the Samsung calendar app, though. Anyone with an S5 able to weigh in on this?

The Samsung calendar. Ugh, it seems like something that should always be a setting.
