So I love the S5 so far aside the bloatware...and I salute those who are working on rooting. One of the most frustrating things ive come across about the S5 so far....is that when using the volume button on the side of the phone........it will raise and lower the (Ringtone Volume) but not the (Music, Video, games and other media Volume)....???..............What.................

So is it true that I will have to go into settings - sound - volume menu EVERY time I want to change the overall volume of every sound on the friggin phone? Or am I just a noob and missing something?

BUT, if you are listening to music, and you use the volume control it does turn the music up, same for games etc. Why would you want to change the volume of something BEFORE you open it up?

I use Slider Widget, I like I can glance in a second and see ALL of my volumes and can easily lower or mute the volume of any I need to quickly.

As Jon said, when you actually have media (music, videos, etc.) playing on the phone, the volume rocker will adjust the media volume. When you're not playing music or anything, the rocker only adjusts the ringtone which I think makes perfect sense.

Thanks guys. I see the convenience in being able to adjust different volumes when multi tasking.. I guess the draw back I found was that....I put the phone on mute (what I thought was mute) and then when in a meeting at work....while on a website....BLARING high def audio all of the sudden out of the great speaker in this phone.... not good while in a meeting lol....but the side wheel on the main slider settings menu will definitely help. Much shorter. I just wish the media slider was tied to the mute function. Thanks!
