Voicemail Notification missing

For some reason I am not getting any notification when I have a new voicemail. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Open the Dialer/Phone app, tap Menu>Call Settings>Voicemail, and make sure the Sound is set to the tone you'd like. This is how I do it on my Nexus 5--the menus might be a little different on your phone.
