Texts appear on ipad and not my Galaxy s5???

I have just changed to a Samsung Galaxy from an iPhone 5 and I have swapped the sim card from my iPhone to my Galaxy. When I text a person with an iPhone and they reply, the message goes straight onto my iPad as iMessage but doesn't come through on my Galaxy. How can I make it so that I receive the message on my Galaxy rather than iPad? (or both)

You needed to unregister your phone number for texts in Messages before swapping from the iPhone to the S5.

Sending an SMS text message STOP to 48369. I had problems for a week before it was resolved.

The other thing you need to do is sign out of imessages on any other apple devices you have. Ask other apple users to send as sms not imessages
