Why can't I delete emails from Galaxy S5 combined Inbox

I am having a problem where I can no longer delete emails while under the "Combined Inbox" in the native email application.

While viewing the email, I tap the "Trash Can", and I am returned to the Inbox view, however, the email is still present.

I am able to delete emails if I swipe the email or if I go to the specific inbox, view the email and then tap the trash can icon.

Is this a bug or did I mistakenly change a setting?

I wasn't too happy with the OEM email app, I changed over to Blue Mail and am now a Happy Camper.

I tried Blue Mail, but I am not able to configure MS Exchange email.

With the exception of this 1 problems, the Native email is doing everything I need

Okay, there is another email app that specifically says it will work with Exchange and the dev specifically tells you to write to him if you have any problems and he will make sure it gets fixed.
