Screen resolution in landscape mode

I've searched here and on Google, and I'm coming up empty. When I lock my Galaxy S5 into landscape mode (my preferred use), the screen doesn't "reset" so that the icons/etc are shifted around appropriately. This results in less usable screen area and some of my icons being inaccessible. SS attached. One shows the phone in portrait with Wade and Evernote icons at the bottom of the screen. Next shows in LS mode with those clearly missing/cut off. You can also see in portrait how the launcher (?) icons (apps, phone, handcent, camera, Chrome) are cut of. Last SS shows my apps menu/ last row of apps is cut off.

Help?
