Deleting photos from S5 (auto-backup)

I want to delete all the auto-backed-up photos on my S5 and leave only the photos on device. Followed directions on google help page but I can't find a way to delete all by checking the first one and scrolling through to the last one - no shift key like using a computer to delete all. Turned off auto back-up and unchecked sync, but still can't do a mass delete. Thanks.

re:

Which sync did you turn off? In Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], make sure you unchecked either Picasa, Google Photos, or Gallery (which are all possible sync options for the stock Gallery app). Google Photos is actually different from Google+ Photos, if you see both in that list. Google+ Photos syncs with the Photos app.

Once you've confirmed that you've unchecked the correct option, then go to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then force stop. Now open Gallery again. The database should repopulate with your local photos, but not the cloud photos.
