samsung s5 default messaging app

Recently updated to 4.4.4 (should not not have ) and now my messaging app is acting funky on my phone. I love to use emojis so of course I went to insert one today and noticed the first page is very glitchy and I can only scroll down through to about halfway of the that page. Any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else? What other things have you noticed that is buggy with the new 4.4.4 update?

Have you restarted the phone?

for me, a lot of settings/apps went crazy.... I just unchecked the settings, reset them, restarted the phone, and all is well.

If changing the settings on the app does not do the job, go into Settings and turn it off/uninstall it.
Reinstall it or "turn it back on" and restart the phone.

Check for RCS in Mobile settings as some Networks are using this rubbish
Do a factory wipe or remove all other messaging type apps eg facebook and google
but its probs a third party app causing this that is not compatible with 4.4.4
