I have some questions about the ART & Ability to download system updates when enabled, can anyone help?

Question About ART & Ability To Download System Updates When Enabled

I read somewhere in these forums that a device that has ART enabled will be unable to download system and Android updates. Is this correct? Is ART enabled in Android 5 or is Dalvik still used?

I don't believe ART will prevent system updates, but I'll let someone else confirm that as I no longer have a Nexus 5.

As for Android 5.0, it does indeed use ART instead of Dalvik.

The last update ( 4.4.4) I got when using art. I use art as my runtime system always. In fact my phone runs better with less battery usage on art. Some have said just the opposite. Don't know why. Android L will have art as defult. The YouTube videos on android L I have seen said that there was no way to use anything other than art when 5.0 is installed. (Galaxy S5 )

Same from me using art for months and had every OTA with it..
