Samsung Galaxy S5 Wi-Fi Extremely Slow

Wi-Fi on my Samsung has been extremely slow for the last couple of weeks. It is actually faster using cellular data which shouldn't be the case.

This happens on various different internet connections (different routers). Running a speed is clocking in at 0.10 to 0.30 mb everywhere.

I restored my phone and it seemed to fix it but it has gone back to not working again. During the week it also started to randomly work again without me doing anything, but now it has gone back to horrible speeds. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Does it matter if your Bluetooth and mobile data radios are turned off? I have read of issues where either one of those could potentially interfere with wi-fi.

Hello,

Can you try speed tests and compare the speed in two cases; bluetooth on and off?

If it is unstable with bluetooth on and stable while bluetooth is off; please test if in safe mode it is stable with bluetooth on.

It is fixed after wipe cache + wipe data / factory reset.
