Why does my Voice Search only work once before I have to reboot it?

Voice Search works one time, then have to reboot

My S5 used to work great with google voice search. Now it only works ONE time, then I have to restart the phone to get it to work again! After the first time, starting voice search doesn't make the alerting sound and it displays a screen that says "Listening... " with a reg "G" icon. After a few seconds, the message changes to "Say 'OK Google' or tap mic" and the icon changes to a microphone. However, it seems oblivious to any vocal input.
HELP!!!!
