Why is my Samsung Galaxy S5 only generating sound from only one ear bud?

my samsung galaxy s5 is generating sound from only one ear bud

have had the samsung galaxy s5 phone for 10 months and now and only receiving sound from ear bud from phone- occurring with samsung ear buds and bose sports ear buds - i tried finding a setting in the phone did not find anything - what could be causing this issue? very annoying sound from one ear bud - each set of ear buds work fine on other media types - any recommendations to resolve is helpful...

It's probably a defective earphone jack, but it could also be a blown audio channel on the motherboard. It's under warranty. Back up everything (Backing up an Android Phone) and have it repaired or replaced.
