I just update to lollipop and lost the use of my home button and recent apps button. I called samsung and my provider and I got told to do a factory reset.
I did this and the phone starting working fine, until...I reconnected my corporate email account which is on an exchange server. It turns out whatever new security protocols which make Microsoft activesync a "Device Administrator", disable the home button and the recent apps button.
As soon as I deleted the email account I got button access back.
It worked fine with kit kat.
I have no idea who to contact on this issue.
