Why won't my Galaxy S5 send out text messages?

My Galaxy s5 will not send out text messages

I can receive text all day long but when I try to send them out it says 'Error'

Try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to whatever messaging app you are using, and select Clear Cache.
Check also that your SIM is good....your network provider will replace it if necessary.

And check with your carrier that your account is set to allow sending texts. People make mistakes sometimes. (Choosing option 3, when they were reaching for the "2" key [some error like that, not that it's actually 2 or 3], can totally mess up your account.)
