Will hard reseting my activated S5 remove the number and cause me to have to reactivate it?

I have had my phone for 3 months and have acquired files and apps that just eat my storage. I need to hard reset my phone but I'm not sure if it will make me need to reactivate my phone.

That's a no :)
A hard reset won't harm anything.
I assume you Really mean factory data reset (FDR)? ??
That will whipe all user data...

systemofadown1, it most commonly known as factory data reset, but another name for it is also hard reset. They both mean the same thing. FDR will delete everything you have downloaded on your device including files, apps, music, etc. Make sure you backup some stuff if you would like to get it back easier.
