Updating apps.... SUPER SLOW

Personally i never thought updating apps on the gs5 was ever even close to how fast it was on the iPhone. I mean granted i update my apps probably once a week so there can be anywhere from 5 to 20 apps to update. Regardless there is no reason why it should take longer than a half hour for these apps top update. Especially when it's the only thing going on my Internet at the time.

Anyone know why it could possibly take sick a long time for apps to update?

So are they taking a while to download then update, or download, or update? Ive seen apps hang during the download process. Sometimes i watch them update. Once i had an app say Downloading for 15 minutes. I hit the X to cancel it, then tapped Update and bam it was done in a matter of seconds.
Elaborate more if you can.
Also, going from kitkat to lollipop changed the system from DALVIC to ART. ART will take longer for the apps to install / update.
