Can I get some help going from Verizon to Metro PCS?

PLEASE HELP!!! Verizon to metro pcs

so i recently bought a virizon s5 (used) and when i try to add my sim card for metro pcs it doesn't say unlock code or nothing like that it just says "sim card is not from verizon" plus i have absolutely no service . I'm not really an expert but I've tried googling a lot of stuff and i just can't get the answer please help me

i do have the imei number if that helps
please somebody help

You may have to contact Verizon to unlock the phone for you. Normally it should be unlocked but "sim card is not for Verizon" sounds like it may be locked.
