Part of Galaxy S5 touchscreen stopped working

Recently a part of my phone's touchscreen stopped reacting for touch. It's a horizontal stripe close to the middle of the screen. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! If you turn to landscape, is it still the same absolute area of the screen that is not responsive? Or is it relative to the screen orientation (i.e., when in landscape, is it still a a horizontal strip that is unresponsive)? If it's the same absolute area, then I would suspect a faulty digitizer, which would have to be replaced.
