Samsung Galaxy S5 overheating

Hello, i have a Samsung galaxy S5 with a cracked screen due to an accidental drop. The screen does not light up anymore but the phone seems to be fully working. I can hear my usual notification sounds, the blue light on top of the phone lighting up as usual and so on... but then i noticed something strange that never happened. The left back side of the phone is overheating! I just wanted to know if it was only because of the broken screen or the motherboard is failing? If i change the screen , will the overheating issue be fixed? The phone has never overheated before. I could feel some heat only when it was charging. Please i want some advice before replacing the screen because i will not change the screen of the phone and then some days later the mainboard fails too. It will cost me a lot of money then.. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Samsung Galaxy S5 overheating

That would really need advice from a repairer.
Also, the drop may have caused damage other than that to the screen.
