Widgets not working/updating, how can I get it working?

Widgets not working/updating

I have a Samsung galaxy s5, and just recently all my widgets seemed to have stopped working.
If I tap on them and go into them, for example my alarm widget, I'll change the time for the alarm, it'll say it's set for such time in such a mound of odd hours, but when I close out of it the original setting stays, and I can't turn it off or anything unless I really enter the widget (which isn't necessarily an issue, but kind of defeats the purpose) same goes with my weather app and my messages.
If I re boot, itll be fine for a second but then does the same thing, I've deleted the widgets and cleared the cache. Nothing has helped

Welcome to Android Central! You cleared the system cache partition, or an app cache?

See if the problem persists in Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10696. (Although Safe Mode might also disable all widgets as well, so in that case it wouldn't be very helpful.)
