Disable side buttons during video recording / Replacement video app?

I use my S5 to record YouTube videos on the regular and often accidentally hit the side buttons on the camera which either stop the video or zoom in. I need a way to disable the side buttons during record so I can use it like a regular camcorder. I have toyed with the idea of just buying a dedicated video camera, but a cell phone with 4K capability should be able to fit the bill haha. I would be willing to try another app for video recording if you can recommend one. Thanks for any advice.
