I've read that I can create sub-setting shortcuts using the Nova Launcher, but I don't want to be stuck using the launcher permanently, is there a way I can create a sub-setting shortcut on the TouchWiz standard browser? This issue has been driving me absolutely crazy!

Welcome to the forums. I'm not sure if this will work with the S5, but worth trying. Long press on your home screen, select widgets, scroll down until you see 'settings', drag it to the screen and see if the 'apps' option is included in that list.

Thanks for the quick response! Unfortunately, I actually just transitioned from the S3 which had this feature which got me hooked, and the feature is no longer present on my new S5. The new folder icons suck too! lol

Then I guess Nova is your only option. You can create shortcuts to almost any place in the settings with a widget or using Nova Activities. Let me know if you decide to use Nova and need any help creating them.
