Different charge ports for different variants?

Needing to replace the USB port on my phone and looking on amazon they have cheap ones and some twice as much but what's the difference? Aren't all s5 the same with the exception of the network type (cdma/gsm)?

There are, currently, 42 different models of the Samsung Galaxy S5. See, 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Whilst it is true that most models share the same hardware, there can be minor differences in some cases. Always best to go for the OEM part for your model.
