My Samsung S5 is about to reset, how can I avoid this.

AC Question

My S5 is about to reset. It was in my laptop bag and, apparently, was not closed properly. It normally has a "swipe" access that must have been activated and run through all of it's security tries then it defaulted to a numerical password. It is now down to one final "numerical" backup pin that I do not have nor even knew existed. Is there anything that I can do to keep the reset from happening. I can prove to Verizon that this is my phone but they say there is nothing that can be done. Am I really going to lose 12 years of contacts?

You're unlikely to get a response from a non-member who posted so long ago. I'll move the thread to the S5 forum.
