Mobile headphone is 'Always On'.

Mobile regards as its headphone is always connected making it impossible to have calls. I've to turn the speaker on while on call. Also music isn't playing into speaker. My speaker is working for sure as I can hear ringtones and alarms. Is this a headphone jack issue or Audio IC failure.

I also wanted to know if my phone will work if I remove headphone jack completely.

Note: My mobile restarted after I inserted an unknown headphone socket. After that, the problem started.

I had the same issue last year. I tried everything even factory reset... per the Samsung technician on the phone. In the end I had to send it back to them for repair. Thankfully it was still under warranty. Got it back within a week.
