Samsung s5 touch ribbon torn

Whilst replacing my lcd/digitizer I tore the touch flex ribbon.
Has anyone tried this service? Thoughts? Don't want to buy another lcd/digi if there is a cheaper option.

Maybe a second hand cheap S5 and cannibalise the ribbon from that?
