Why is my S6 Active touch screen unrsponsive?

All the buttons are functional, I receive notifications and my LED light works fine. However, I cannot use the touch screen at all. I tried restarting it like a gazillion times, and deleted the cache. I dont know if I wanna factory reset yet, since I can't backup my photos cause i cant even unlock my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! The digitizer may have simply failed. Any recent trauma or water exposure? Does it persist in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007

If nothing works, contact Samsung (if still under warranty).

If you have access to one of those "on the go cables" plug a mouse into it and you should be able to use that to navigate around and back up your data etc... Once you are in, trying going into the quick toggles at the top and toggling the screen sensitivity toggle. It's worth a shot. Let us know if this worked.
