Black background and wont turn off

My Samsung6 after using Oculus, has gone to a black background and will NOT turn off using the on/off button.

I have done the safe mode reset, the clear cache, the hard turn your phone off.

On the main screen I am unable to pull down the top menu.

I have tried to reset my background pick and it goes through all the functions, but remains black and will NOT shut off.

Sounds like you've done everything right so far. By "using Oculus" I would assume you have the Gear VR? If so, have you tried putting the phone back into the headset? That may bring it back up so you can shut it down properly. I don't use the VR but I would assume there's a process for exiting it prior to removing the phone.
