How to disable WiFi notification card?

Hope I'm in the correct area for this. Purchased an S6 Edge+ yesterday and am really enjoying it so far. One annoyance however - why is a "WiFi Connected" notification card ALWAYS active? I clear it, it comes back. I tried to find a way to turn it off in settings, but was unsuccessful. This just a Samsung quirk? I didn't have it happen when I was test-driving an LG G4. Certainly not serious enough to detract from what is a wonderful phone, but I really don't need to be notified that I'm connected to WiFi constantly. Thanks for any assistance.

Can't get rid of it. I think it's AT&T that insists on it, though Verizon has had persistent notifications like this as well. Very annoying. Maybe with root you could disable it?

Thanks. Not comfortable enough with Android yet to go the root route though. :) Bummer.
