I was one of the unfortunate ones with the NOTE 7 recall issue. I'm considering getting the S6 Edge Plus in place of it as its a lot less expensive and appears fairly similar. Undecided.

Yes. It's a good phone. Sadly, I never use the edge features. One negative is you'll never find a glass screen protector that fits the phone properly. I've purchased many, and returned them all. Lol.

It's a very good phone! I've been doing some research on it of late, as I'm thinking about getting it when my upgrade rolls around.

I like mine well enough, but I just wish it had expandable memory and water resistance. Had I known the S7 Edge was going to have all of that, I would have waited.

Love my UK day-one release unlocked 64gb gold edge+ most amazing phone ever. And my first phone was the Ericsson GA 628 so I have seen the changes. Still have a soft spot for the nokia n95 and Motorola v8160 flip

I was in the same boat as OP ..had the N7 and needed an adequate replacement until the S8/N8 gets released. Was able to get a brand new S6EP for $400 and boy am I happy with it ...its nearly identical to the N7 sans the waterproofing/SD card/spen and a few software features (AOD) ...for the money its awesome and it outperforms the N7 largely due to it using exynos over the crapdragon ..I never understood why Samsung doesn't use their own chips in all their phones.
