How to backup phone? Smart Switch doesn't see phone

Newbie to Android thought I would try the S6 Edge from an iphone, I'm trying to do a backup after I got everything moved from my iphone. I had to use SS mobile, done the phone to phone transfer, as the PC version of SS would not transfer from my itunes backup. I tried running it again to backup and it won't see the phone, I deleted and re downloaded the program to PC, tried all 4 USB ports on PC and nothing, I can switch the phone to camera mode transfer and it is seen, but when I go back to media it's not recognized in smart switch.

Hi brewc53, not sure if anyone had answered your query but I had a similar issue and found out was the cable. Found another cable that came with my S4 and it's been fine.. Hope this helps.. Cheers
