Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge - Edge Lighting not working even though all settings OK

Hi, Im new to this forum!

Recently bought a S6 Edge which i Love!

PROBLEM:
Edge lighting wont light up when I have a missed call, sms or email, even if it is from one of my 5 peoples edge contacts.


ADDITIONAL INFO:
- The Edge lighting shows up just after a missed call for a brief second, then turns off.
- Gyrometer/Accelerometer works according to other apps where rotate works.
- The smart notifier (vibrate when picking up phone and you have missed call or sms) works fine.

- Android version 5.1.1
- Everything is stock on the phone.
- All settings are on for the edge lighting. (yes, every setting has been triple checked)

TROUBLESHOOTING DONE:
- lockscreen deactivated to no avail.
- Played with edge lighting settings to no avail.
- Rebooted phone to no avail.
- Contacted Samsung support, they told me to make a factory reset and take it to my local retailer for further support. Reset didnt help.


Please help me, I am not alone as I have understood.
