Sorry if this is a repeat thread but I searched and couldn't find one...

Is there any insight on when Verizon will push the marshmallow update to the GS6 Edge? My wife's phone is having nothing but problems (she says some days it's fine and other days it's brain damaged) and based on what she is describing I can't help but think Marshmallow will fix it for the most part - especially since I have gotten nothing but great results on Marshmallow on my Note 5. That said, she is getting frustrated so I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and buy her the GS7 Edge, or if the update is right around the corner. I would have thought she would have gotten it by now, but, as usual, verizon is taking their good old time.

Sorry, I don't have insight on the Verizon update but I am on Sprint and received the Marshmallow update. Prior to receiving the update, I absolutely hated the GS6 Edge. It seemed like it was frozen more than it was functional, the lag was out of this world, and it would overheat like crazy. As soon as I updated to Marshmallow, it is like a completely different phone. Buttery smooth, never freezes, and the battery is slightly better. I would say wait for the update and see how it goes. I know Verizon can take their precious time but it might be worth saving a few dollars to wait.

I'm on Verizon and I have not heard a thing. I've been doing internet searches and cannot find anything. Verizon has a long history of being slow to roll out updates. They're usually the last to do so.

Thanks for the reply. My wife is experiencing all of the issues you mentioned. Hopefully it comes quick... But I am glad to hear my thoughts were accurate that MM should fix the problems.

Yes. The only thing I hate about them. But then they surprise me sometimes like being the first to roll out MM for my Note 5.

I'm guessing it has to be soon. They've gotten around to updating other brands to MM. And Verizon apps have been getting updated lately to be compatible with MM. But who knows, I'll just keep hitting Check for System Updates three times a day until they do.

it will be out tomorrow i am wondering tho does that mean its coming out for the Edge+ also tomorrow (April 1st) according to Droid Life.

Well, it is April 1st so I'll believe it's true when I get the update notification. So far nothing.

Well Verizon has updated their software page for the 6 so either they are part of the prank or we'll finally see it this weekend.

I like the added functionality of the Edge screen. I may actually use it more now, before it was so gimmicky but it actually might prove useful now.
