Notification Vibrate Disabled if Ringtone is on Vibrate

[AC Question]

Hi!

I have a an S6 Edge running Android Version 6.0.1 and Kernal 3.10.61

My issue is that if I set my ringtone to vibrate the system and notifications volume bars grey out and I get no vibration for anything other than an actual phone call. Any ideas to fix this would be great because I'm always missing texts at work where I don't want a ringer on.

I am having the exact same issue on my sprint galaxy s6.
Existed on Lollipop and still exists now that I am on Marshmallow.
Vibrates for everything else... but if i elect the ringtone to vibrate-- both the system and notifications volume bars grey out and I get nothing for text messages etc.
Clueless as to why.
I'm stock rooted.

Same problem here, when volume control set to vibrate all other vibrate notification choices are greed out. Any solution?
