Sound quality down to near zero

The sound in my sg edge is downright bad right now. Unless I have ear buds or headphones connected, it's barely audible. Sound at 100% on this with no ear buds is about like 15% on my niece's iphone 6. And I know I have spilled or splashed anything on it, and ive not dropped it in water. I was trying to play a game on it a little while ago, and the audio was near mute the sound has deteriorated so much over the year I've had this phone.

Is it still under warranty? It sounds like the main speaker is faulty, so if the warranty is still valid, then send it in for repair.
