Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. My problem is the APN option in the settings menu does not even appear I need help on this badly I go to settings network settings and I don't even have that option for APN. Does anyone know why this might be happening or a way around it I have a SIM card installed from TracFone in my phone but I cannot get data, the plan is active. So frustrating!

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone a carrier-specific one, or did you get it unlocked?

Thanks for the reply. It was purchased through Ntelos but I asked customer service if it was locked and they said that they do not lock Android phones and that my phone isn't locked.

nTelos uses the CDMA network, so that phone is presumably a CDMA phone. From what I've seen on the forums, CDMA phones are trickier to edit APNs on. See if the phone is actually compatible using Tracfone's compatibility checker: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...m%2Factivation%2Fcoveragecheck&token=nR8GWYO3

Before I bought the new sim I ran the check for compatibility and it was good. Now when I click this link it said there is a problem. It says I already have account. Im at a loss. I feel like that there is a setting on my phone that needs to be changed so that it could read and recognize the new SIM card that is in my phone.

Any way you can contact nTelos and ask them, since it was originally their phone?
