Hi there, I've accidently got a little water in my phone and now it's damaged and to make it worse I stupidly charged the phone to see if it was working. Is there any way to get it fixed? I tried to get it repaired at the store but the store teller charged me and then told me he couldnt fix it and nor could anyone else. Is that really true?

Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Water damage is generally irreversible, and can progress insidiously as well. Fixing it would usually mean replacing a component, and the problem is that if multiple components are damaged by the water, then the shop might have to keep replacing components until you essentially have a brand new phone (and the cost of repair would probably end up being more than a new phone).

Most likely they are correct. Water egress can sometimes be mitigated if steps are taken immediately, but once the damage is done, it's done.
