Agreed, iPhone touch ID works pretty good but it does lag before it accepts your finger print.
Hopefully the S6 will be better.

Excited about this change too. If it is true I will be picking up a S6. Assuming it still has good battery life and a camera.

Having used Touch ID on both the 5S and 6+, I've never had it lag once. Even when it was just announced. The Samsung finger swipe thing? It barely worked when I got my s5. Subsequent updates from Verizon and Samsung fixed that but still it doesn't work with the anywhere near the reliability of Touch ID. For whatever reason, the Samsung print reader seems to work better on my s5 than my Note 4.
