Camera does not auto focus

Is anyone else having an issue with the camera's auto focus? When I launch the stock camera app, the camera will not focus right away. Even when I tap the screen to focus, it does not work. I typically have to change modes 4-5 times before it starts working correctly. Once it starts working correctly, everything is fine, but I can't afford to go through his exercise every time.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

I had that happen on a Note 4 once. The camera was faulty. If it is consistent, in a variety of lighting conditions, you need to exchange it.
