Which Unlocked model for use in USA, SM-G920i or SM-G920f?
At first I was seeing the 'i' version was the one to get, but now I'm seeing the 'f' version as well.
I use StraightTalk with an AT&T Compatible SIM and I want to be sure that I can get full function.

TIA

I had read that the F version was better for ATT. IT also
has the bands for Tmobile that the I does not.

Samsung UK seems to list the SM-G920F

2G GSM
GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900
3G UMTS
B1(2100), B2(1900), B5(850), B8(900)
4G FDD LTE

Samsung Australia is selling the SM-G920I

2G GSM
GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900

3G UMTS
B1(2100), B2(1900), B4(AWS), B5(850), B8(900)

4G FDD LTE
B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B17(700), B18(800), B19(800), B26(800), B28(700)

As far as LTE goes:
The SM-G920F has LTE Band 20 (800) where the SM-G920I does not.
The SM-G920I has LTE Band 28 (700) (and TDD LTE band 40) where the SM-G920F does not.

Neither contain all the lte bands of the att s6. They do contain the main ones though. Also keep in mind some of these are imported and have no usa warranty. You would have to send them back to the country of origin for service and have an address in that country for Samsung to return the phone to (Samsung won't ship it back to the usa, if the phone wasn't originally from there)

That bit of warranty info concerned me, so I just finished talking with Samsung, and they said it doesn't matter where it came from. Under warranty, Samsung America works on the international unlocked versions.

Also remember the plug on the charger will be typical 3 pin, you will need an adapter in the USA and software updates wont be pushed from your carrier you will have to do them via quick connect

That's OK, I'll be using wireless chargers I already have. And the updates I'll get them as they come, plus being rooted, who knows what I'll be running :D

That's fine. Just make sure that it is not a country specific device or you will have to return it to that specific country.

Well, got the SM-G920i yesterday and I'm really liking it so far. Came with USA charger, so no worries there. Wireless charging is nice and fast too. Popped in the StraightTalk SIM and LTE lit up right off the bat! Even the APN settings auto populated except for the port.
One thing I will have to get used to, is the smaller screen size. After a year of using a Lumia 1520.3 and it's 6" screen, the S6 feels minuscule..lol
But, it feels good to be using an Android phone again! ;)
