GS6 not connecting as media player in car

My GS6 is not connecting as a BT media player in my car. I have a 2010 Lexus IS250 with the stock head unit.

The phone connects and I can make and receive calls via the in-car bluetooth.

However, it's not connecting as a media player.

I've repaired several times and have paired separately as a media player and phone but it won't keep the BT media player pairing.

Any thoughts?

Go to the Bluetooth connection for the car when it's connected. Tap the gear on the right. Make sure the Media box is checked.
