Why is my new S6 freezing every 5-15 minutes?

Why is my new s6 freezing every 5-15 minutes.

I just got an s6 this week and since I've had it the screen will freeze and be unresponsive about every 5-15 minutes. I can get it to work again by going to the lock screen. I'm not sure whether this is something I could fix with a reset or maybe some sort of phone setting, I suspect my phone is faulty. I have restarted it with no change.

If you bought it new and it's causing trouble already, return it.

Before you take it back try a full factory reset

I would not even bother resetting. There's obviously something wrong with it as it should not be doing that out of the box.

I re-read. Was it freezing like that when it was straight out of the box or did it start after something was installed? If that's the case then a reset will help.
