can the galaxy s6 connect to 2 separete bluetooth devices?

can the s6 pair with 2 separate bluetooth devices at once. one for music through my stereo and the other for hands free speaker, both in my car. ig it can pair with both, will it know to direct my music to one and when i get a call to direct it to my speaker

I assume so, because when it's connected to my Gear S it still connects to my Stereo when I get in the car - both being connected at once, only audio going through the stero, all data goes through the watch (messages, etc.)

It could not connect my bose Bluetooth headset and car Bluetooth at the same time. Maybe I got a defective phone from att?

My device can not connect as you say. maybe because we do not properly.

Mine can connect to two Bluetooth devices, but it seem to me it all depends on the Bluetooth device. Some will connect up with other devices connected, some won't. Bluetooth can be annoyingly finicky.

Re: can the galaxy s6 connect to 2 separete bluetooth devices?

I'm not 100% positive about this, but I think it mostly depends on what functions are pairing through bluetooth. For example, if you pair a set of speakers to your phone via bluetooth, it will only be connecting the audio from your phone ... which leaves the ability to connect data and/or phone calls to another bluetooth device.

But, if you try to connect to two separate bluetooth speaker systems, I don't think it can do that because it's only able to send the audio to one of the two devices, and prohibits a second audio connection.

I know that might not make perfect sense, seeing as how music and phone both use "audio", but it may consider the phone a separate thing.

Has anyone tried using a bluetooth headset and also pairing to a speaker system at the same time?

Re: can the galaxy s6 connect to 2 separete bluetooth devices?

It could be that it may only connect to one device of each kind.
For example when i connect my Nokia Bh505 headset the connection is in 2 parts, one for media and one for voice and you could actually turn one or the other off. So you may be able to connect one media and one voice but not two of the same (media, media).

I connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. I have a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. I connect to the car's hands free system which only handles calls. I a separate Bluetooth receiver to stream music. It all works flawlessly.

Sure it can, not only S6 but any phone. When you receive call or play music it will automatically direct to one of them, then you can manually change where to direct the voice. I don't think automatically it directs sone to stuff to one and some stuff to others, may be you can try a app like tasker and write since scripts/rules to make it happen automatically.
