I looked it up and I guess I'm not actually approved, simply registered. The email it actually reads as follows, then includes a registration number among other things...:

I took advantage of it. Purchased a Verizon 64GB Galaxy S6 on July 3 and submitted the rebate on 7/8. When I go to the rebate site and plug in my email, here's what I get:

Just received an email from Samsung and it states that my receipt has been approved and I should receive a check in 6 to 8 weeks. That's a long time. I hope it's 6 to 8 weeks from the time I submitted my claim.

Well Samsung finally started sending the checks out!!! Yay! I received mine in the mail today!!! FYI...I submitted it on June 22nd.
