iPhone to Android - Unordered Seperate Texts

Wondering if anyone knows a solution to what I'm assuming is caused by iPhone using data to send messages.

When I'm texting someone who has an iphone, and they try to send me a long message, it will come broken up and not in order. So at times, I will receive 5 different messages, all in different order, and I have to try and figure out the story.

Anyone know a way around this WITHOUT resorting to a 3rd party messaging app (whatsapp, kik, etc.)

try having them set as "Send as SMS if iMessage not available" -
