Galaxy S6 - When phone is on vibrate, there is a long delay before registering incoming calls

If the phone is on Vibrate Mode, there is a significant delay between an incoming call being received and the phone actually registering that there is an incoming call (There is no indication on the phone screen whatsoever that it is receiving a call) . The problem does not happen when the phone is on sound mode (it registers immediately). I have tested this by making calls to my phone myself. Really frustrated by this because whenever I switch over to vibrate mode, which I have to quite often, the caller has hung up long before my phone has let me know there is a call, and all I get is the missed call notification. I know this might be by design from Samsung/Google, but is there any way I can change this behavior ?
