Why can't I update my AT&T Galaxy S6?

So here's the deal. My Galaxy S6 is on 5.0.2 and then I rooted it with Ping Pong Root. But then when I pressed software update absolutely nothing happens. It doesn't check for updates and it's as if I had Kernel Version. I've tried absolutely everything from using Kies and Smart Switch to doing a factory data reset. Please help.

P.S. If there is some way to unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom then tell me.

Bootloader is locked. Period. When you root, you do not want to take an OTA. Which of you are on At&t, what are you trying to update, we are still on 5.0.2.
